The Norbar Area:3 Nameless: Shadow-Eater, Stone-Biter, Thaurlach
~ Barz ~

Encounters between the Rift's entrance and Barz are similar to the add-waves on Barz and Zurm.
Approach:1. 1 Troll-Keeper, 1 Troll
Do NOT hit the Troll AT ALL until the Troll Keeper is down. No Debuffs, no attacks, no Nothing. Focus fire on the Troll. Position the group to avoid being knocked off the edge.
2. 1 Slave Master, 1 Slave, 4 Hillman Workers
Many ways to do this, including Burglar pull.
Here's an important moment to underscore the importance of using the Raid Assist window!
My method: Chain-mez the Slave Master away from the group. Have *everyone* stand as CLOSE as possible to the Slave. Focus fire on her, and ONLY her. A champ can stun the HG to keep them off the healers. The Slave absorbs damage and deals it out to the Hillmen Guard. They MUST be right next to her, so Everyone needs to be there. Hunters, Healers, Debuffers standing way in the back cause problems. Fear the SM if he comes unmezzed, then mez him when he is at a distance.
Here's the Slave-Master's buff. Interrupt his induction when he calls out!

3. 1 Slave Master, 2 Hillmen Guards, 4 Pale-Folk
Chain-mez the SM and the back guard. Kill the 1 guard and PF, then the other guard, then the SM.
4. 1 Troll-Keeper, 1 Troll

Chain-mez the SM. Kill the PF, then the SM.

My Method: Have everyone proceed to the bottom part of the ramp. Don't go up the ramp, or you agro the group at the top. Chain-mez the two SMs. Root the blob of HW and PF that come running at the group. Take them down, then one of the SMs, then the other.
8. 1 Slave Master, 2 Hillman Workers, 4 Pale-Folk
A LM can stand at the bottom-middle of the ramp, look up to the left, and Chain-mez the SM up there. Pull the rest and kill. Then get the SM.

Good chance to practice the Blood-pact tactic without the SM.
Have everyone charge the Slave, and stand as close to her as possible. Focus fire on her, and then kill her when the HW are dead. Here's an important point to underscore the importance of using the Raid Assist window!

Run to the Fire. You may notice who is being targeted by their sudden power-drain.
The key here is to get Barz away if you are fighting one of the add-waves. If Barz gets in the middle of the add-wave battle and *then* does his "I'll gnaw your bones" move, it's chaos.
